Tools We Recommend
This page collects the tools, kits, and reference books Wired N Wireless recommends for installation work, electronics learning, and small-shop benches. Picks come from real bench use — not press releases — and lean toward gear that lasts. Prices and availability shift; verify at checkout.

How we choose what's on this list
Three filters: gear that's been used on a real bench (not just unboxed), gear that's actively in stock from a Canadian source (not orphaned imports), and gear where the spec sheet matches the on-the-bench experience. Anything that fails any of the three doesn't make the page, regardless of marketing budget.
Affiliate revenue from Amazon links covers the cost of testing — readers pay the same price either way. Editorial position never depends on commission rate. Where Amazon doesn't carry a clean Canadian listing, the post says so and points to a better source.
